What to do
If your vehicle suffers a mechanical / electrical problem and can be driven, deliver your vehicle to the closest Ingham Dealership or a repairer authorised by Inghamcover. You should only drive if you can do so safely and without causing any further damage to your vehicle.
If your vehicle suffers a mechanical / electrical breakdown and your vehicle cannot be driven: Call toll free 0800 246 4426 (0800 2 Ingham) and advise us that you are an Inghamcover customer. Roadside Assistance will arrange to have your vehicle delivered to the nearest authorised repairer. Hand your policy to the authorised repairer. (We suggest you keep your policy with your vehicle service manual.)
Before any repair costs are incurred, authorisation from your Ingham Dealer or Inghamcover must be obtained.
To obtain this, the following information must be supplied:
- Your policy number
- Vehicle registration number
- Current odometer reading
- Cause of problem
- Estimate of repair cost
If the repairs are to be carried out under this policy an order number will be supplied to the authorised repairer. We are not obliged to pay for any repairs carried out where an order number has not been supplied.
